“Ringo Starr substituiu Pete Best quando os Beatles iriam gravar seu primeiro compacto simples (disco de vinil de sete polegadas de diâmetro contendo uma música de cada lado). Curiosamente ele não tocou bateria em nenhuma das duas músicas desse single, sendo substituído por Andy White (baterista de estúdio). Coube a Ringo o pandeiro em Love me do e as maracas em PS I love you. Era considerado o elemento “terra” e o “palhaço” pela imprensa. Como ator participou de vinte filmes sendo “Blindman” (1971), “Lisztomania” (1975) e “Caveman” (1981) os mais bem cotados. Em 1989 criou sua All Starr Band com um time flutuante de elementos da primeira linha do rock mundial. Por ela já passaram músicos como Joe Walsh, Billy Preston, Harry Nilsson, Randy Bachman, Bruce Springsteen, Timothy B. Schmit, Peter Frampton, Ginger Baker, Roger Hodgson e Greg Lake.”

“Ringo Starr replaced Pete Best when the Beatles would record his first single compact (vinyl seven-inch in diameter containing one song on each side). Interestingly he did not played drums in anyone of the two songs that single and was replaced by Andy White (drummer´s studio). It was left to Ringo on the tambourine "Love me" and the maracas in "PS I love you". It was considered to be the "land" and "clown" by the press. As an actor participated in twenty films being "Blindman" (1971), "Lisztomania" (1975) and "Caveman" (1981) the highest rated. In 1989 he created his All Starr Band with a team of floating elements of the first row of the rock world. By it already passed by musicians like Joe Walsh, Billy Preston, Harry Nilsson, Randy Bachman, Bruce Springsteen, Timothy B. Schmit, Peter Frampton, Ginger Baker, Roger Hodgson and Greg Lake.”
